For group pilgrimages, we ask you to please contact us in advance to arrange your visit. The Shrine of the Little Flower has many pilgrim visitors and retreatants throughout the year, and we seek to insure that every group is able to enjoy a peaceful visit. We want to be prepared to offer you our best hospitality. Group-visit and retreat planning sheets, including information for School & Religious Education visits are attached below.
"A shrine is first of all a place of memory, the memory of God’s powerful activity in history, which is the origin of the People of the Covenant and the faith of each believer…. In the biblical tradition, the shrine is not merely the work of human hands… but a witness to God’s initiative in revealing himself to human persons and making his covenant of salvation with them.”
-Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant Peoples 1999
The Shrine warmly encourages individuals and families to join us as 'pilgrim' visitors.
Taking time to step away from daily life and immerse ourselves in the beauty of God's creation is one of the most powerful ways to revitalize our spiritual life. The relative isolation of The Shrine of the Little Flower, here in the woods of Nasonville, RI, allows for the pilgrim to come to a place that is separate from the ordinary. Our 9-acre campus provides seekers with silence, peace and tranquility, and abundant opportunities for focused meditation on the Saints. We hope you will leave the Shrine feeling refreshed and spiritually nourished.
