Welcome to the Church of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and Shrine of the Little Flower, a mission of Our Lady of Good Help, Mapleville, RI.
Founded in the summer of 1923, the Shrine has just celebrated it's 100th Anniversary. Our Shrine is among the first in the world dedicated to St. Thérèse of Lisieux and we believe it to be the first in N. America. We are located at 35 Dion Drive in Nasonville, a village in the Northwestern part of Rhode Island.
The shrine and parish were started just four months after St. Thérèse was beatified, and for 100 years, this place has been a rural oasis of prayer, pilgrimage, and community. As we enter our second centennial, the Church and Shrine are a mission of Our Lady of Good Help parish.
The Church is open for prayer each day from 8a – 5p. See the Home Page for the current regular Mass schedule and the Church Bulletin for information on current events. Our office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8a to 2p. The outdoor Shrine precinct is open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset.
We are happy to help arrange pilgrimages and school or church group visits and we warmly welcome volunteers.
